Brighton Marathon Weekend.
All 15 members of ChipTimingUK team were onsite for this years Brighton Marathon Weekend. Working with our partners Active Network
who provide registration and race timing software, our main focus was to provide logistics and timing services to ensure Start, Finish lines
and 9 split points across the course were set up and operational. The timing mas managed remotely from the Finish Line.
The split times are fed live into the Active Experience APP. The APP allows friends and well wishers to track runners around the course.
Due to the design of the course supporters are able to track and locate runners at several different points on the run, creating a unique atmosphere
at the UK's second biggest Marathon.
We used IPICO timing equipment with shoe tags that the runners keep as a race memento.
The slick registration process was powered by Active Networks dynamic race pack registration service. Runners simply show the QR code on their confirmation email,
the code is scanned and a race number and timing chip allocated, fast, efficient and no queue's.
On Saturday we were busy timing the Mini Milers event organised by Brighton Marathon. 2500 kids run a 1 mile course in waves of 150. Great to see so many kids enjoying running.
